How We Met

Now we may or may not agree on how we met, but I promise you this is the truth.  The beginning of May 2008 I had been given the "option" at AT&T and knew that I could not go without work.  I went straight to Logan's Roadhouse after I had gotten my unfortunate news (I had worked at Logan's for two years prior to my stint at AT&T) to see if I could get my job back.  They told me they needed a busser for the next two days and then I could start serving again.
Monday morning, I walked into Logan's and immediately greeted my old friends.  As I was catching up with everyone, I had noticed there had been a lot of new hires.  As it started to become time to work, this one very pretty girl with red lipstick and a beautiful smile stuck out her hand and said "Hi, my name is Morgan." I shook her hand and told her my name.
The famous ramp where Morgan and
I became "Saturday Friends."

By some act of fate, over the next couple of months we kept getting put in the same section on Saturday nights.  We would hangout in the same spot talking and flirting when we were not busy.  We quickly made up the nickname "Saturday Friends" because that was the only day we worked together.

One day, I picked up a lunch bartending shift and Morgan was working that day.  We talked all morning and we were making plans to hangout sometime soon and I mentioned going to an Indians game because we both loved sports.  While we continued talking, our former general manager came up to me in the middle of the restaurant and told me to ask her out.  This embarrassed me because I was almost positive she had heard him.  He harped on me all day...to the point were I was telling myself not to ask her.  He pulled me into the office and started in on me for the last time about Morgan and of course she walked by...  it looked extremely obvious that we were talking about her again.

First Date
I decided to man up and wanted to make plans to go to the game with her, so I asked for her phone number.  She made a comment that we should hangout a day or two before the game to break the ice.  I had her come over to my apartment where we sat and talked for hours about everything from family to religion.  After that evening, we hung out  everyday until she went back to college. At that time, I had no cable hooked up so we spent our time laying on my carpet and listening to CDs that she had burned, which is a blessing because it ultimately brought us closer together.  The rest is history.  We ended up going to that Indians game... they won 1-0... It's funny it feels like I have won too.
